“Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass it’s about learning to dance in the rain”
Vivan Greene
As well as applying very much to life this quote is also very good for doing anything in the outdoors in Scotland. If you wanted to just have good weather then you could spend a lot of your time indoors.
Today was very much a day for dancing in the rain as it was chucking it down however sometimes there is nothing better than being in the outdoors in bad weather and enjoying every second of it. After all “there is no bad weather, just inappropriate clothing” (Ranulph Fiennes) so with my waterproofs on I had great fun climbing the Whangie today.
The Whangie is a hill that I have climbed many many times and each time I enjoy it just the same.
On the way up I was lucky to see a little bit of blue sky! No matter how dark the clouds are the blue sky is always going to be there, that isn’t going anyway. Good thing to remember in life as well.
Have climbed the hill in all seasons and in all weather conditions. What I love about this time of year is how vibrant the colours can be.
If one needs to learn how to dance in the rain whether outdoors or in life you just need to look at this face!
